This Messy, Gorgeous Love: The Dharma and Partnership

This Messy, Gorgeous Love: The Dharma and Partnership
An 8-Week Class
with devon + nico hase

Thursdays—April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, May 6, 13, 20, 2027
5pm to 6:30pm, pacific time
online via Zoom

You love each other. And still — the same arguments, the same misunderstandings, the same moments where closeness hardens into friction. What if none of that means something is wrong with you? What if it’s simply what happens when two whole people try to love each other?

Join Buddhist teachers devon and nico hase — authors of This Messy, Gorgeous Love: A Buddhist Guide to Lasting Partnership — for an eight-week exploration of partnership as a path. Drawing on decades of practice and real relational life, they bring early Buddhist wisdom to the tender, unglamorous work of loving someone over time — delivered with warmth, honesty, and practical tools.

What You'll Learn

🪴 Weeks 1–2: Reorienting — Why relationship is inherently rough, and how accepting that truth softens the struggle. Relief often begins here.

🪴 Weeks 3–4: Building Capacity — Deep listening, emotional steadiness, compassion with boundaries, and the dance between closeness and autonomy.

🪴 Weeks 5–6: Working with Conflict — Your conflict style, how activation escalates, and the art of rupture and repair. Conflict becomes workable instead of frightening.

🪴 Weeks 7–8: Integration & Joy — Playfulness, ritual, appreciation, and practices that keep love alive amid impermanence.
