Metta Jhanas

devon will be teaching for the first three weeks of March with Devin Berry at the Forest Refuge. Come for one week or stay for more.

Lovingkindness is usually taught as a way to soften the heart. The Buddha also taught it as a path into deep concentration. When mettā becomes the steady object of attention, the mind gathers, settles, and can enter jhāna: absorption filled with joy, happiness, and equanimity.

Weeks of sustained practice, using the heart’s warmth as the doorway to a unified mind.
