The Eightfold Path

A Year-Long Series of Eight Half-Day Retreats

with devon + nico hase

Eight Saturdays · January through September 2027 · 10 am to 1 pm Pacific time · online via Zoom

Across 2027 we’re walking the whole of the Buddha’s Eightfold Path together — one factor a month, a half-day at a time. Each session stands on its own, but taken together they trace the arc from Right View, where the path begins, to Right Concentration, the gathered mind the whole path has been walking toward.

Register once to hold your place for all eight Saturdays. You’ll receive a single confirmation with the full schedule and Zoom link, then a reminder before each session.

The eight sessions:

  • Jan 9 — See It Straight (Right View)

  • Feb 13 — How the Heart Leans (Right Intention)

  • Mar 13 — Ten Things Not to Say Today (Right Speech)

  • Apr 10 — Twelve Things Not to Do Today (Right Action)

  • May 8 — Your Work Is Your World (Right Livelihood)

  • Jun 12 — Weeding Your Garden (Right Effort)

  • Jul 10 — Listening (Right Mindfulness)

  • Sep 11 — Gathering Your Mind (Right Concentration)

(No session in August — we’ll be on retreat.)

What We’ll Explore Together

Across 2027, devon + nico walk the whole of the Buddha’s Eightfold Path together — one factor at a time, one Saturday a month. Each half-day takes up a single fold of the path, from Right View through Right Concentration, looking plainly at how it lives in the body and mind and holding it up against experience to see what stands.

The morning begins with an opening conversation around the theme, followed by lightly guided sitting and walking practice, and closes with a dharma talk and time for questions.

A Full Path of Practice—Rooted in Community

🪴 Monthly Half-Day Retreats – This is a full annual series of eight online half-days offered by Refuge of Belonging, a dharma community rooted in presence and open to all.

🪴 The Eightfold Path – The Buddha’s eightfold path is the heart of the practice: eight interwoven factors, from view and intention to mindfulness and concentration, that together form a complete way of living and waking up.

🪴 devon + nico – Refuge of Belonging’s guiding teachers lead the series together, trading off and teaching in pairs across the year, bringing both monastic depth and a grounded, contemporary voice to the path.

What People Are Saying
